As you all might know setting goals is hard and following them is even harder. Having clear concise goals is a very important component of being proactive. How else are you going to achieve thing if you don't have a plan??


Setting clear goals can help you plan and organize your resources in an effective and efficient way. It can help you plan the live you want for yourself.


Setting up new year resolutions is easy but how many of us actually follow them for a whole year. We might stick to them for a few months but overtime they just fade away.

In the post following this I plan to discuss about ways by which we can follow goals we set for ourselves. I also plan to discuss how habits can influence our goals.

As promised, here are some ways you ,can be proactive about your mental health.

Prioritize your mental health- Be regular with visits and check-up's to your doctor, dentist and other health professionals.

Consider therapy- It can actually really help you as an individual navigate through many of lifes problems while also giving you a way to maintain a healthy balance.

Try meditation - meditation can be achieved through yoga, exercise and even writing in a journal!!

Improve your sleep- a healthy sleep leads to a happy and healthy individual. Find ways to get a minimum of 7 -9 hours of sleep daily.

Always remember that only with good mental health can an individual truly be an effective part of any workforce. Being proactive in terms of mental health is essential.

A common misconception about being proactive is needing to do the maximum amount of things in limited time and always being ready with a contingency plan, but in reality a person's mental health comes above all.

Sometimes taking rest and wating for things to happen is equally as important as taking responsibility for the said action.

All these may make you think that mental health and proactiveness don't go hand in hand but anyway individual can also be proactive in terms of their mental well being.

In my next blog post I'll go over the steps that you as an person can take up for practicing proactiveness in such a way that you don't burn yourself out.
